Come on already!

I used to consider myself to be pretty patient, but there is something about being a few days away from your first baby's due date and not knowing when he is coming that starts to wear your patience down. We have spent the last 40 weeks getting ready for him to come. The last few weeks we have made even more preparations including putting the car seat in the car, packing a bag for the hospital, getting his bed ready and his diapers stocked. COME ON ALREADY! We are as ready as we are going to be at this point, let's do it!

New Baby Stuff

This is one of my new favorite things that we have for our little guy. In case you can't read the picture...the pacifier says "Mute Button"!

Here are some new shirts I made for the baby using freezer paper stencils and screen printing ink. Of course they had to be red! Too bad they will be too big for him to wear to my graduation, I guess I'll have to make some more!

The 3 Baby Greens

We were trying to decide who the little guy looks like.... We pulled out some baby pictures. They are alot older than he is right now... obviously... but we thought that he has some features from both of us. He is just sooooo cute!
p.s. from the ultrasound he weights 2 lbs. 7 oz. He is getting bigger!

New pictures!

We went to see the sonographer again today to get some 3D pictures and video of our little son. Here are some of the better pictures...

Look at his little face!

This one is a profile of his head, you can see his little ear on the right.

Here is one of his face from the front. That's his little hand over his eye.

This is one of my favorites...just relaxing and all stretched out.

Here's another one all stretched out. That is his other hand on his chin.

Look at his cute little nose and cheeks!

Monster Clothes for our "Little Monster"

Over conference weekend we made a few new shirt for our "little monster". We are pretty happy with how they turned out!
We also saw this shirt and hat at Old Navy, and I couldn't pass them up...

A fun family night.

Last night was a fun night for Josh and I. We were looking at ultrasound pictures of a fetus at 25 weeks on the internet, and then our little guy started to kick. He kicked and kicked and kicked. Probably 3 or 4 times for a few minutes each time. It was so cool to feel him kick, (my belly even was moving when he kicked) and to see a picture of what a baby that size looked like while feeling them inside of you was so amazing. We were watching the kicks of an entire and complete little boy. It was amazing. We both go so excited thinking about when our son finally comes to our family.

Just for fun poll

I just added a poll to our blog to help decide our baby's name. So far I think we are probably going to name him Harrison and his last name will most likely be Green...it's the middle name we need help with. So here are the options (and explanations):

Joshua (his dad's name)
Averil (not sure if that is spelled right, but that would be his great-grandpa's name, my dad's dad)
Trevor (Sabrina's dad's name)
Ford (uh, hello...Harrison Ford!)

This is just a fun poll, we aren't taking it too seriously...let us know what you think!

Baby's First Kicks (first that dad felt anyway...)

We were just sitting on the couch tonight watching tv when Sabrina said that she felt the baby kick. I put my hand on her stomach and he kicked two more times! Sabrina has been feeling him move a little but tonight was the first time that I felt him move. It's a pretty awesome feeling to know that he is in there and moving around.

Custom Baby Clothes

Here are a few pics of the baby clothes I made for our little guy. We found a good deal on the onesies and the shirts at the Carter's outlet in Park City. We got blank ones so that I could print something on them. Yes the second one is a robot, I know I am a nerd.

The Crib

So we got our crib yesterday afternoon from Babies R Us (it was quite an ordeal that involved me locking myself out of my running truck in Orem and Sabrina driving from Salt Lake to open my door...). We love it! It is the same "rubbed black" finish as the changing table/dresser that we bought earlier. We got some bedding a while ago from overstock.com and it looks pretty good in the crib. Now all we need is a mattress...and a baby.

New Baby Stuff!

So we got our first piece of furniture for the baby tonight...a changing table/dresser. It's kind of hard to tell from the picture but it is a "rubber black" finish. It's basically black with a few edges rubbed off to make it look older. It also has brushed silver hardware. The crib will have the same finish. The bedding we got to go with it is green, brown, and cream and looks pretty nice with the dark wood. One step closer to being ready!

New Baby Stuff...

So we are starting to get some more baby stuff... "Grandma G" gave us some PJ's (of course!) with little froggy feet and a really soft stuffed dog. Grandma J gave us some pants and a bib. We bought one outfit (on the left) and a blanket. We have also ordered a crib, changing, table, and some bedding.

It's a BOY!!

Well, we had our second ultrasound this morning and it is officially a BOY! It was pretty easy to tell since he was laying there with his legs wide open... Everything else looks fine, he is growing fast and the sonographer didn't see any signs of birth deffects or anything. We were both really surprised when she said "boy" because we both really thought that it would be a girl. We are both really excited to be having a little son! It's really nice to be able to say "he" now instead of "it"! The first picture is his "alien face", the second is a profile, and the last two are the pictures she used to tell that it was a boy (you don't have to look hard to tell why...)

Baby Update - July 16

Sabrina had her second doctor's appointment today. He said that everything looks normal and that the baby's heart beat is still in the "little girl" zone at 155 bpm. Our next appointment is on August 13th and that's when we'll find out if it is a girl or a boy.

It's a....

...well we don't know yet, but our doctor thinks that it could be a girl! I guess the baby's heart is beating fairly fast (about 170 beats per minute) and the doctors says that if the heartbeat stays above 160 he thinks it could be a girl.

First Pictures!

So here are the first pictures of our baby... It just looks like a little gray blob right now, but we did get to see and hear its heart beating! It was pretty exciting! The first picture shows the baby with its heartbeat, the second is a close-up e of the baby (the big end is the head) and the third picture is actual size.

Week 10... just week 9.

We have our first appointment this friday and were planning on having our first ultra sound then but today i had to go and have the ultra sound so we got to see the baby! We though that we were 10 weeks along but after the sonographer measured the baby she said that we are 9 weeks and 1 day. So the new due date is January 22nd.
We have print outs of the ultra sound. Josh is gonna scan them and then we'll post them. It's not much but it's our baby! We even got to hear it's heart beat! It was beating around 171 beats a minute! It was so exciting to see the baby inside. It's still super small and everything looks good!
In about 9 more weeks we'll get to find out what it will be.

8 Weeks!

So we are about 8 weeks pregnant now...here is a picture of what our baby should look like at this point in its development (this is NOT a picture of our baby!). Look at the size of that head!

Oh the Smells!

I have been lucky to not get too sick in the first couple of months of my pregnancy. There have been a few things that i've noticed. My sense of smell has exploded. This has been cool sometimes but mostly when i'm driving and can smell restaurants and things that waft over the streets a little to well. I have not had morning sickness but my stomach has felt pretty quisy. Then i got pretty bad allergies so that has stiffled my sense of smell. But over all i've been pretty lucky, we are just so excited to be having a baby! We'll get to see the baby in 2 1/2 weeks so we can wait!

First Baby Clothes!

Well Gram is officially the first one to buy clothes for the baby. We went out to Centerville for dinner and dessert on Sunday and she gave us this really cute outfit. It was specifically chosen because it is "unisex". We were really happy to get it, thanks Gram!
